Kim Silsby is a California licensed acupuncturist and herbalist serving the Bay area for over eight years. She completed her Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University Santa Cruz, and her Bachelor’s degree in Women’s literature and writing at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Kim comes from a family of health care providers and generally great people! She credits their influence and support for her love of health care and healing.
Kim established White Peony Acupuncture in Los Altos, CA in 2005. When she is not working she enjoys exercise, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Kim enjoys working with active people and athletes. As a life-long athlete herself, she appreciates the benefits of TCM for optimal performance and rehabilitation.
Loren Romley www.lorenromley.com is a California Licensed Acupuncturist as well as a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Loren earned her Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine from Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California. She completed the Five Element acupuncture program and focused her studies on hepatitis C, pediatrics, hormone balancing and sports injury. Loren combines traditional Chinese and Japanese techniques with the theories of Five Element acupuncture to gain insight into her patients’ constitutions and the imbalances that are the root of their discomfort and disease.
As a Chinese Medical Practitioner and Primary Care Provider, Loren takes the time to analyze each patient carefully and understand their unique circumstances. She relates to a patient as a whole person with dynamic systems which need to be balanced. Our world is full of stress, pollution, trauma, accidents, and habits constantly bombarding our systems. These challenges faced on a daily basis cause imbalances in our bodies which may manifest themselves as pain and/or illness. Acupuncture and herbal medicine have been used for thousands of years to bring our bodies and minds closer to harmony.
Loren is passionate about being a mother of two boys and keeping physically active; she enjoys surfing, swimming, hiking, running, yoga and river rafting.
Kim and Loren both focus on reproductive health care for men and women, including fertility, pregnancy and labor support. They have each trained with mentors Dr. Sharon Feng OMD, Raven Lang OMD, Debra Betts, L.Ac, Randine Lewis, P.h.D, L.Ac, and Claudia Citkovitz, MS, L.Ac.
We look forward to meeting you!
